Lace up your running shoes and join us for a race through the scenic landscapes and charming neighborhoods surrounding downtown Columbia, MD. Celebrate your achievement with food & beer on the Lake Kittamaqundi lakefront with The Collective Offshore after the race!

Registration transfers are not permitted to other Rip It Events. Race organizers reserve the right to close registration due to capacity limits. Race organizers reserve the right to delay or cancel event due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Pets, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, and any other non-official wheeled vehicles are prohibited.

Registration fee includes soft cotton long sleeve shirt, finisher medal post race food & beer!
Register by Sept 6 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

PACKET PICK-UP

Registered participants are required to pick up their packet before the start of the race. This includes getting your bib, timing chip and shirt. Runners must attend one of the below options:

 

Saturday, Sept 28 at Feet First Sports

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

or 

Sunday, Sept 29 at race venue (race day)

BIB TRANSFERS & DEFERRAL

Allowing a non-registered runner to use your bib is NOT PERMITTED

Runners may elect to defer their race entry to the following year's race.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

6:30 AM - Packet Pick Up Opens

8:00 AM - Mass Start

9:30 AM - Awards presentation (estimate)

RUN COURSE

The 10K course starts & finishes in downtown Columbia and takes runners around the Columbia mall and through the surrounding neighborhoods. The entire run course is on paved roadway. All runners must finish the race by 10:00 AM.

Please note that this event is considered a running race not a walking event.

WATER STATIONS 

There will be two water station on the course (mile 2.2 and 4.4). 

There are no restrooms on the run course. 

PARTICIPANT SHIRT & FINISHER MEDAL

Register by Sept 6 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. 

Participants will receive the shirt size they selected at online registration. Shirt exchanges can be completed at the conclusion of the race at the check-in tents. All finishers will receive a medal at the finisher line. 

BATHROOMS

Porta-potties will be stationed at the start/finish line. There are no bathrooms on the run course.

Awards will be given to following categories

Overall Male - Top 3

Overall Female - Top 3

Overall Non-Binary - Top 3

Age Group - Top 3 (male & female) 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39,

40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89
