Style & Philosophy
Our coaching philosophy is simple. We believe in building a strong aerobic endurance base to perform well on race day. Strong aerobic base or foundation is paramount, and all future success will be dependent on your body and metabolism becoming as efficient as possible. Additionally, we believe in listening to the body’s feedback, and allowing this feedback to prescribe your upcoming training and race schedule.
Rip It Coaching is specifically for novice to intermediate athletes, who are looking for guidance and an objective eye to help them achieve their athletic goals and personal excellence. Rip It Coaching will only taking on honest, self-motivated, individuals who will put in the time & energy required for athletic improvement and personal excellence.
Rip It Coaching uses Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) as a system for training. This method is a 1- 5 scale for programmed training.

Coaching packages start with a minimum three month commitment. Payment for the first 1 month block of training must be received before the training plan is sent to the athlete. Once purchased and setup, individual training plans and details of the program will be delivered and workout interaction made via TrainingPeaks.
Coaching programs are available in 3,6,9 & 12 month commitments. Payments will be made using the online system - PayPal.

Coaching Plan - How It Works
Step 1: Initial Athlete Start-up Forms: First the athlete will fill out an questionnaire that will describe the athlete's current athletic fitness level and training history, family and employment commitments, past injuries, equipment, training facility information, etc.
Step 2: Telephone or Face to Face Consultation: A telephone conversation or face to face conversation to discuss the information gathered and plan the upcoming season is required. For an athlete to get the most out of the program, it's important for a coach to get to know each and every one of their athletes on a personal level.
Step 3: The Training Plan: The athlete will receive a detailed training schedule. This will include customized workouts for each session. Each weekly plan is broken down into individual day to day session plans that can be expanded to see the whole workout.
Step 4: Adjustments to the Plan: As the program progresses, adjustments are made to the plan and tailored for each and every athlete.
