DAY OF THE DEAD VIRTUAL 5K

October 31 - November 2, 2020

Halloween is just around the corner. Join us as we celebrate Day Of The Dead TOGETHER by completing this virtual 5k. This event can be run (or walked) on the road, on a trail, on a treadmill - all while maintaining social distancing. Run at your own pace and time it yourself. The race packet for this virtual run includes a race shirt and a finisher’s medal. There are no awards for this run. 

Fun Fact: Day Of The Dead is October 31 – November 2. October 31 is Halloween or All Hallows eve. November 1 is “el Dia de los innocentes” or the day of the children and All Saints Day. November 2 is All Souls Day or the Day of the Dead.

Our hope is that everyone will complete this run together on either Saturday, October 31 or Sunday, November 1 but you are welcome to complete your run whenever it best fits your life. Join our virtual run facebook group and show your support for your fellow runner. Be sure to post photos of your training and that you completed your 5K. ​

CREATE OR JOIN A TEAM!

Invite friends and family members to join you by creating a team to support each other! Come up with a team name during the registration process and be sure that everyone enters it during their registration. If you already registered without a team but decided to make a team or join one, no problem. Use your registration confirmation email from Active.com to open up your registration and make team edits.

AGE REQUIREMENT

Runners must be at least 7 years old to register for this virtual run.

REGISTRATION FEE

Shirt and finisher medal will be mailed to participants by Oct 31.

  • Race organizers reserve the right to close registration due to capacity limits.

  • Race organizers reserve the right to delay or cancel event due to extreme weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Rip It Events is not responsible for any legal ramifications for violation of state laws. 

  • We promise to make every effort to mail your shirt, bib and finisher medal prior to October 31. However, due to the impact of COVID-19 we can not guarantee delivery by October 31.

SUBMIT YOUR RESULTS
Submitting your results is optional. Participants can submit their indvidual results online between Oct 31 - Nov 8. To submit individual results, click HERE. Enter your registration ID, completion time and a photo of your watch or other device. Your registration ID can be found on your confirmation email. To receive a copy of your registration confirmation, please email racedirector@ripitevents.com. 

PARTICIPANT SHIRT

Participants will receive the shirt size they selected at online registration via mail. For reference, shirts are short sleeve and made by Zorrel Primease. They will be soft cotton type (this is the same shirt type Rip It Events has used for all of 2019). To view the shirt size chart, click HERE. The shirt fits are on the slim side. It is recommended to order one size up. Registered participants will receive a shirt via mail by October 31.

FINISHER MEDALS

Registered participants will receive a medal via mail by October 31.
